We are all like traffic-lights, sometimes our mood is up but sometimes its down. Can we really control ourselves or are we just all figures of our own imagination? I think about that all the time, who are we? What is our purpose in life are we supposed to save the world or look after ill children? Should we be generous or selfish? These are the questions I ask myself everyday but I never seem to find the answer, so can you give me one, can you tell me the answers. That's my question, does anybody really know these answers?

It sounds cliche to say that there are no easy answers to any of these questions. The question of purpose is probably easiest to attempt probably because it is the most elusive. I might be misunderstanding what you mean by purpose, but if you mean the thing that makes it all worth it, I would have to say that one's purpose should be to take the search for a purpose seriously. I don't mean to be circular in my reasoning, but then again...

I love your image of the street lights and the zooming taillights. My next assignment is "night photography" and that's exactly the type of image I'd like to capture. Good job.

I came upon your blog because of your response on the blog of the phoenix dreamer.
Your question about our purpose and our goals is probably very widely shared.
Those questions are answered for me in Scripture. The Creator and Finisher of all life answers these questions and in some cases, even tells us how.
Good luck on your quest...

I actually do have the answers!

Your purpose in life is what you say it is, there will never be a right or wrong purpose. Whatever you LOVE to do, are BLISSFUL doing, is what you SHOULD be doing. for some it is dancing for others, its writing, for others its being a doctor or a nurse or a scientist, or just a nice person. Does it make you happy? Does time fly by when you do this thing? THATS what you should be doing with your life.

We ARE figures of our own imaginations, what you think of most, is what you become. Man becomes what he thinks about...go here: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1161053/man_becomes_what_he_thinks_about/

We should be generous AND selfish. It will not help the poor, if you are poor.

thanks for stopping by my journal! drop in any time!

there will be no answers anyone can give you that sound right TILL you find the right questions to ask...
Personally, I think most of the answers can be found by educating yourself and interacting with as many people as you can from around the globe and travelling...
Do all this with an open mind and soon you'll find yourself giving convincing answers to your own questions..
till then, questions like "why did God create pimples" can and will torment us...
